Jackpot justice is a problem in every state. But it’s worse in Oklahoma due to a decision of the Oklahoma Supreme Court last year striking down sensible limits on “noneconomic” damages in tort cases.

The Oklahoma Supreme Court conducts itself more as a rolling constitutional convention than an appellate court. The Legislature, and the people, should not tolerate the Court’s overreach.
